Cedarville , Michigan.

Cedarville, Michigan is a very small village in the upper peninsula of Michigan.

Our book club was invited to spend a few days here enjoying Kate’s wonderful hospitality. We stayed in their summer cottage which is on the channel that connects Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. The cabin is a great combo of rustic and modern.

We enjoyed each other’s company, ate lots of good food (Tian , Korean veggie pancakes, salmon, chicken plus all the trimmings) and learned a few new games (polish hearts and Tarot).

Kayaking, swimming, walking and sailing for the more adventurous.

On Saturday four of us went to Hessel and enjoyed the world famous wooden boat show- so many boats, too many people, amazing crafts (expensive) and oppressive heat!!!

The 4.5 hour drive home turned into 6 plus due to a long line to get on the bridge, three very scary rain/cloud bursts, an accident detour and construction.  We got back safely thanks to Ann’s great driving.

It was a good weekend but all of us were wishing for a venue much closer to GR and a certain way to organize the food better.

Thanks to all!
