It's Michigan!!!
Back to normal...I think!
but what is normal these days?
The last four days have been lovely and mild and it has rained...a lot! We needed the rain.
I was able to do a fair amount of work in the yard in spite of the rain (or perhaps because of it ) It is so much easier to pull weeds out of a wet bed.
So I go around the yard- flowerbed by flowerbed and I think I see the end...at least of the major weeding. I usually start with the beds I have already done and pluck out random weeds...there are always more.
I have to admit I have one bed that I always do last...every year! and I don't know why. (ha ha) but it's a mess!!
A friend offered to come help me tackle it...when she has time! So that is like hiring someone to clean your house... you can't resist cleaning it before she/he comes! I have been slowly tackling the mess!
This morning I did some transplanting and, believe it or not, I actually found myself tossing out plants. These are pretty substantial parts of my perennials that are getting too big or patches of ground-cover that have spread too far. They would make great plants in someone else's yard...oh well!
So here is what is blooming in the yard!
and there's more
