Wednesday lunches - burgers and the Tilted Tulip

We continue our weekly search for a different restaurant to enjoy our Wednesday lunch.
Last week we went to an old, old place - at least the chain has been around for a long. Bob Evens.
As expected,  there were a fair amount of older couples having lunch at the same time as we were. It's a place that attracts older people who remember this place from their earlier days.
We were surprised that menu was quite diverse with plenty of newer style dishes plus some old fashioned meat and potatoes.
Rose enjoyed a burger with coleslaw and I loved the beef tips and broccoli and coleslaw.
This week we went to much newer spot called Bigfoot Burgers. It's been open for about a year.

The owner is a young man that transitioned from a food truck to this brick and mortar location. There are a great variety of burgers on the menu.
Wednesday has a lunch special- ¼ pound burger, fries and a drink for only $13. Great value meal.
Rose had a Greek style burger with tzatziki which reminded her of her recent trip to Greece.  I opted for the blue cheese burger.

Good burgers with piping hot French fries.
I hope this restaurant stays around as long as Bob Evans.

Afterwards,  we went next door to the Tilted Tulip , a very nice upscale flower and gift shop. We both found a few irresistible treasures to take home.

Our drive home took us down to the turnoff for Robinettes- a fun apple/ pumpkin/ corn maze location that is a yearly tradition for many in this area. We watched them making fresh apple cider and learned that the leftover pulp gets used as fertilizer spread between the trees in the orchard.

Our last stop was the gardens by the jail... I should learn the name of the gardens!  Lovely flowerbeds designed and planted and  kept up  by a group of "master gardeners"! Surprisingly, the gardens are still beautiful and full of colors. I should have taken some pictures.
