Saturday.
Saturday morning was uneventful. My usual routine now means heading to the store, picking up the deposit and going to the bank. This time I also had to bring boxes to the other store. I can now announce that "I'm home from my day job"
I was able to take a very good nap in the afternoon. I'm not sure why that happens some days and not others.
The best part of the day was going to hear the GR Symphony with tickets that some friends were unable to use. What an awesome concert! The first piece was the US premier of a composition written by Philip Sawyers, a friend of the conductor, David Lockington. Nice stuff!
Then a concerto for violin by William Walton played by concert master James Crawford. Amazing!!
The Enigma Variations by Edward Elgar filled the second half of the program. Lockington knows this well as he conducted it without a score in front of him.
We went home floating.
It was a wonderful way to end the week!
