Too much time
I spend the last 8 weeks (off and on) fixing up two vacant rentals. It’s an interesting process for me. I plan, work, worry...repeat! And repeat and repeat!
So after a busy day, I sleep but wake up early and unfortunately cannot go back to sleep because I “need” to plan my day. It was all time consuming.
But, happy to say that is all done. Both houses are rented.
I am sleeping much better. I have fewer worries and/or concerns. But...I have a terrible cold. So coughing fits are the norm. I’m thankful for OTC medicine.
I have lots of time on my hands now. It’s good for naps. I also am a phenomenal couch potato now. No energy and no ambition. Watching TV, writing texts, playing games, catching up on email. I’m looking forward to returning energy levels.
As I slowly recuperate, I decided to go shopping. Real “shopping” with no lists and really no needs or wants. I haven’t done this for a long, long time. I spent $35.00 on stuff I really didn’t need. A set of sheets for a crib, some pouches of baby food, a liner for a high chair, a baby gift, some D batteries, a baby calendar....nothing needed but everything will get used . Truth be told, I couldn’t resist checking out what Babies R Us had left in the local store. Great prices but 60% and 70% off still couldn’t tempt me to buy a super cute snowsuit for a granddaughter. $80 minus 70%= $24 ....such a good deal. I’m not sure why I didn’t buy that.
Too much time on my hands! It takes a lot of time to really shop. I’ve decided I’m not a fan. When the rain stops, I’ll spend my time in the garden. While I’m eager to get stared, I’ll happily wait a few more days if that means it will keep raining. It’s been a very dry spring so far.
It all takes time!
