We are going on a 2 week vacation during which it’s going to be VERY hot and during which my son has promised to supply a goodly amount of water all over the backyard.
I thought that a picture journal might help me remember what it looked like now. I do trust him to water but the extreme heat might be too much.
So here I go… starting with a right turn upon leaving the house.

| Pots of flowers and hosta. |
Along the back wall of the house. These day lilies are always early to bloom!
This day lily is quite spectacular but I will miss it.
| On the west side of the house leading to the gate. These are smaller than they should be. More water needed. |

| Parsley has been eaten… liquid fence needed. The only thing that would eat these are rabbits! |
| Gift from the kids! |
| Back bed west of the gazebo |
| Some very nice variegated varieties. |

| East of the gazebo. |
| Along the east fence. |
| One of my favorites- lakeside paisley |
| I planted a few extra annuals this year. |
| Penstemon. |
