Spring!

Carolina Sweetheart redbud

Spring is beautiful here in West Michigan but very, very short! This year, all my spring flowers are up and blooming and are loving the cool nights. But, with a few very warm days coming up, I'm sure they won't last long.
The daffodils have lasted for a few weeks. Such a bright light in the yard.
So here's what is blooming. Tulips, red and yellow, blue brunnera, lots of full clumps of yellow marigolds,  purple grape hyacinths, a lonely small red fern bleeding heart,  light blue pulmonary, and columbines of various colors ready to pop! The pansies I planted last year came back and are blooming along side the new ones I bought this year. Around the east side of the house, an old-fashioned white bleeding heart is spectacular!

While all of this sounds good , the weeds are also everywhere!  (no pictures because I want to forget them!)

I walked around in the cool, damp morning taking pictures of all the color.  When things dry, I'll plan to go and pull some of those weeds!
