Friends or Foes UPDATE Chipmunks=rodents 6

I  have news! Check the bottom of this post! 

I just posted this on the American Hosta society facebook page and it was quickly removed! They can post about killing slugs with Sluggo because they cause so much damage to their beloved hostas but can’t  consider that the "cute" chipmunks also need to be dealt with because of the damage they do.

Here's my post- 

I am a mean person and I love my hostas and I don’t think chipmunks are cute.  I did this about 5 years ago and things were fine until this year. 

Buy a rat trap and load it with peanut butter.  

Dig a DEEP pit and deposit the cute deceased pests in the pit and cover with a layer of dirt. The pit fills up quickly and you might need more than one pit. Have fun!

Perhaps if I had left out "have fun" it might have been allowed.

I still am on a mission...they have to go...at least most of them.

Dumb rodents!!

UNFORTUNATELY number 6 was probably NOT a chipmunk.  The trap was sprung and has disappeared! I can’t find anywhere in the yard… so far. 

I am sympathetic and I do hope that whichever poor animal is the culprit, aka the thief, is okay.  

Please return my trap! Haha!
