Fresh garden Kale

 

We were gifted two huge kale plants today and I needed to decide how to save it.  Blanch and freeze or just freeze it and crumble it afterwards. I decided to wash, chop, blanch, cool in ice water, bag it up and freeze

It was easier and quicker than I thought it would be. I packed larger bags for boerenkoel and smaller ones for soup.  
It will taste so good this winter.
