A new experiment

I had two very large and we'll established hostas in the same flower bed. I decided one had to go but I was unable to dig it out and half of the other.
Nathan came and did the deed.
About two weeks later I decided to cut it all down to bare - root and plant them.
I got many, many empty small plastic pots from a friend who likes to save things like that.
I dug up four smallish buckets of dirt from under the composter. That was all the dirt I was going to dig so when it was gone I would stop.
In the end I got 84 small hostas planted. Here's hoping they all come up.

Trouble is...there at least that many left to plant.

And are you not glad you have a friend who likes to save things ... but is willing to give things a good home for repurposing??
