Eye Surgery
In Dec 2013 I had surgery on my right eye. Although it was quite painful and very annoying to keep my head back for 4-5 days the results were better than expected.
Wednesday I finally had the other eye done. It's too early to tell if the surgery was successful. In the meantime the pain is about the same as last time and so is keeping the head back just as annoying. What I didn't anticipate was the toll it's taking on my stomach! I guess my older body is rebelling.
Oh well...back to the couch!
One week and two days later: according to the doc the graft has stayed in place but the swelling has not gone down enough for my vision to return. I now put in a gooey ointment which seems to help just a little but it has effected the vision in my good eye in some way...perhaps empathetically (new word ?) the good eye wants to close down as well. Here's to patience and more patience. The one good thing is that the gas bubble has dissolved and I may sleep on my side: Hooray!
