My husband and I have been married 44 years...TODAY! and we didn't even realize it. He mentioned it at coffee time this morning ...thinking  the 30th was tomorrow. I guess every day is a celebration when you get this old!!

A few years back it was the year of the maple seedlings! They were everywhere. Last year I think it was bittercress even though there is still plenty of that. This year it's the dandelions and the thistles. They are everywhere and they are huge!!  What makes this happen?

It's small but I expect great things. It's about 4-5 inches tall Full grown.

I found a bear's breeches in my yard. I have no idea where it came from but am happy to have it. They are hard to find except online.

What is deemed too personal for a blog with very few readers? My friend has LOTS of followers and so restricts her 'personal stuff'. I don't! which gives me some license, right? Sorry friend!!  missing her ears.... It's such a cute photo!

A few years ago I discovered that since 1996 there has been a named 'hosta of the year'...so... for 21 years.  My goal is to get one of each.  I just bought three new ones and so now I have 10 of them. That leaves 11...where would I put them?  and if I only buy 1 each year, this will take me a long time. If I buy 2 each year plus the new one each year this will take me until 2022. That's too long. I either have to give up or just bite the bullet and buy them all at once and then add the new one each year. At least then I'll get to enjoy them.
