Ice sculptures on the coldest day of the year.

Ava and I headed downtown to see the ice sculptures. It was so cold and we were unprepared. We lasted about 30 minutes.

SPRING IS SPRUNG

SPRING FEVER

Image
Yesterday the wind blew and blew! I was so happy to be in warm places while it blustered and took with it all the remnants of the snow and ice.  I pray that no more will fall this spring. I love seeing all that green grass and all the hope of new growth that it symbolizes. The wind also brought down all the dry and vulnerable tree twigs and they are scattered everywhere. That will be my first task, I guess.  I still have 4 boxes of labels to do and that has priority over twigs because I hate doing it. Actually the twigs and the green grass have provided the motivation to get those boxes done...because THEN I'll go out into the yard.  Maybe I'll do this too.

So Romantic...

Superbowl 50

Well, I sat through the entire game without leaving the room.  It was an effort! The company was great and so was the food. We also enjoyed the commercials...so creative!! The guys talked theology  intermittently.  I think there is way too adulation around the football throne and probably all sports in general. We love and expect to be entertained. Even the 'national anthem' is a spectator sport...
