Back in Michigan

Refreshed! and we got even more after this was taken... That's what a week away can do and this one did just that! We left the cold and clouds and enjoyed a week of sunshine and warm temperatures!  We enjoyed sitting by the pool and reading a novel without anything else that "had" to be done. We went shopping! And bought too much!  Went to a fabulous restaurant at the Royal Palms resort called T. Cooks!  Wild Texas antelope! Rack of lamb! Striped sea bass!   Enjoyed an over-the-top Thanksgiving dinner with Canadian friends!  Turkey and beef wellington and all the trimmings.  Ate too much! Add caption   The only thing missing was the pumpkin pie but that was okay...a gal from Oklahoma made her special key lime pie...and oops...I forgot to ask for the recipe!  Believe me...it was fabulous! November

It's November! It seems odd this year that I feel the end of the year drawing closer. I don't think I've ever notice before. Maybe it's because I have retired or maybe it's just that I'm getting older. Probably the latter.  November means there are leaves to deal with...lots of them.  I bagged this pile- only needed three bags! The intrepid leaf warrior! He blew them all into three or four piles and thought he was done. How do I convince him he needs to bag them as well? That was yesterday. Today it's raining. Trying to decide if I should go out and finish the job. We will not be experiencing these mild temperatures for a LONG time!
