We were invited on a sailboat ride a few weeks ago. It was the perfect way to end the summer. There was a great breeze on Lake Michigan and the sun was shining the whole time. As you can see, we were not the only ones out that day.

Sarah and Andrew took part in the annual triathlon here in town. They had a gorgeous day for it but it did start early. They swam 800 meters, biked 17.9 miles and ran 4.8 miles. Andrew finished in 1 hour and 30 minutes and eight second. Sarah in 1 hour, 53 minutes and 44 seconds. Andrew is an incredible biker and came 16th overall (men) and second in his age group. Sarah came 66th overall (women) and 10th in her age group. Nathania surprised by coming down for the weekend and Nathan came to give them some moral support ...but it was a bit early for him. He says he'll train and do the tri next year.

We went to the wedding reception for my nephew Andrew and his bride Krista yesterday. We drove up to Barrie, Ontario. They had a wonderful party: a pig roast with a western theme, great music and fireworks to top it off. After a night in hotel and a good night's sleep we headed home the next day...today actually. It was great to be able to part of the celebration. We can't always do that because the rest of the family all live in BC. It's good to have a few relatives closer by.
