Restaurant food vs home cooking
We are eating out a bit more lately. For me, it has not been the most positive experience.
I love over-medium fried eggs. The whites are cooked and the yolk a bit runny. If they are too hard that’s okay, if they are undercooked that’s not okay!
I have been out for breakfast 3 times at the same breakfast place with three different parties. They first time the eggs were okay, the second time perfect but the third time they were pretty much raw. The sweet waitress offered to get me new ones and came back with ones that were even less cooked. My companions had perfectly cooked food.
We went to a steakhouse and they were out of my choice of steak so I asked for grilled chicken on my salad. It was almost too dry to eat. My companions had perfectly cooked steaks and sides.
The hubby and I went back to the steakhouse because he really enjoyed his steak the first time. He ordered the same. I ordered a steak and house fries. I left half of the “steak” on my plate because it was all fat and the steak fries were under cooked. His plate was empty lol.
They tell me it’s my own fault because I order the wrong stuff!! I’m not sure! I am sure that food at home seems to be less of a problem. We had a perfectly cooked pan fried steak and sides yesterday.
I will stick to scrambled eggs for breakfast and burgers from now on!
