I am judgemental and intolerant! Ugly food! Raisin bread with almond paste.  IYKYK Looks can be deceiving!  Chicken waffles,,, why is this popular? Filled french toast... soggy! This was actually good.   A.mini pizzookie... why are hot cookies a thing? Asian salad- so many ingredients with no distinct flavor. Market food- so greasy! Korean chicken soup... old chickens! Outback pizza named for its rustic charm... I guess! Why are box lunches always full of stale ingredients??? Yes, it had to be brought to the pontoon and yes it was buffet style but. Why must it be slop? National favorite-- a toastie . Comes in many styles and fillings.  Basically a glorified grilled cheese and with tomato usually! Aaron continues to work on the bathroom...he really does!  Sanding down plasterboard requires breathing breaks and so he does other essential things.  He installed a ceiling fan in Arie's "new" office, fixed a light fixture that needed a ring around it and installed another.  The tape will soon be removed. It's smaller than the kitchen fan but perfect for that room. This is in the front hall and replaces an old brass colored one. One day we'll be able to use the shower too! Haha

The day started cold, and wet but that was okay for a morning bus tour of the city. The old jail (sideways pic) built with bluestone.  Bluestone is extremely heavy lava rock that came from quarries.near Melbourne and prisoners were used for labor. Many older buildings have decorative wrought iron that came came prefabricated from Emgland and was used as ballast for the ships. I wish I had a straight picture of these two towets. One is a hoiel and the other is high-end residential apartments.  The super penthouse was the highest priced apartment ever sold in Melbourne for 39 million. The owner also had a 3 million dollar car hoisted up 57 stories to the top by crane. He bought the McLaren Senna GTR in Italy and discovered the car was too wide for the streets and illegal. I need to think back on our trip "down under" before I forget too much.  We landed in Melbourne early on a cloudy morning.   It was COLD!. After our costly taxi ride from the airport,  we were much too early to get into our hotel room. After a warming cup of coffee we headed out for a walk past the old train station up to St Paul's cathedral. Thankful for the free tram ride around the CBD. That evening we met our tour guide, Ray, and the group for a welcome dinner. A family group of 4, 6 single travellers and us. The first of a variety of good meals.

The vanity has been set.  The washer/dryer combo fits Wow It really might get done We have lights too! ...and a door ...and running water ...and best of all - a beautiful working toilet. The toilet was an impulse buy … I was in a hurry and also convinced by the salesperson that this was top of the line and worth the price!  I must say that I am impressed! I also found a mirror at a thrift store that fits exactly ( lucky because I did not measure) .  The price of the mirror makes up for the price of the toilet lol!

 We were gifted a few different varieties of tomato and we found one growing in our yard.   An heirloom tomato does NOT look like a supermarket tomato because of the dark green on the top.   The yellow tomato does not grow smooth like a “regular “ tomato either.   The red and yellow looked great.  Those three definitely had tough skins and I peeled them!  The one from our yard was smooth and pretty just like the ones available at the store and did not require peeling. We decided to do a taste test in random order.   Starting with the heirloom — beautiful deep red color inside; great sweet flavor. The yellow one was smooth and sweet.  We went back to the heirloom and discovered it was not near as tasty nor as sweet as the yellow one like we first thought!
